Who We Are
IMAGE (Revelational Freedom) is not just a prison reform initiative, we are a people transformation movement.
IMAGE exists to give voice to the voiceless and minimise the impact of broken correctional systems through holistic rehabilitation legal, medical, psychological, spiritual, educational and reintegration support. Our base of operations is in Lagos, with activities across Nigeria.
While we engage correctional systems, our primary focus is the rehabilitation and reintegration of individuals. We believe real change does not begin with systems alone, but with lives being restored from within.

We work through strategic partnerships, bringing together legal minds, medical professionals, and aligned organizations to create real, lasting impact because transformation is never done in isolation.
We understand that every inmate’s story is different. From those awaiting trial to those serving long-term or life sentences, we approach each case with intention meeting people where they are and not where the system has left them.
Our work is phased and intentional from intervention, to rehabilitation, to reintegration. We are not just showing up for a moment; we are committed to the full journey of restoration.
And at the heart of it all is people. A volunteer-driven force, committed, compassionate, and relentless, proving that impact does not require excess but dedication.

Michael was accused of stealing a generator from his employer. After release, he simply wanted to rebuild his life quietly. With background skills in farming and motorcycle transport, he needed basic support to stabilize. Promise and Khalifa were detained on separate allegations. In partnership with Safe Haven Community Support Initiative, IMAGE intervened to secure their release. Shortly after regaining freedom, Promise faced a medical emergency and received immediate support and treatment.
Khalifa later reconnected with IMAGE, expressing gratitude and explaining that he had been falsely accused while working as a truck conductor. Both young men regained freedom and stability through prompt, compassionate intervention

Ngozi, a 43-year-old fruit seller, was detained over a loan repayment dispute, even though the complainant was open to resolving it amicably. IMAGE and Safe Haven intervened to secure her release and helped her settle the matter completely.
